F90SD-12 in the Popular HELIQUAD Line of Indexable Milling Tools is Being Upgraded
Highlights
ISCAR is upgrading and expanding the HELIQUAD line with new milling cutters that carry S/QDM# 1205… single-sided square inserts.
ISCAR is introducing new F90SD-12 face milling cutters that feature an advanced design with respect to the existing F90SD-12 cutters.
The improved design considerably improves performance when compared to the current tools.
The new face mills are available in a diameter range of 2.000 to 5.000”, in coarse and fine pitch configurations.
Tool Features
- Greater durability and simpler structure, without the need for extra accessories such as seats, bushings and their fasteners
- Coolant channels with exits directed to the cutting edges
- Upgraded Torx Plus (IP) insert clamping screw for more rigid clamping
- Increased body hardness combined with HARD TOUCH coating for improved chip flow and wear resistance
- 5.000”diameter tools are shorter than the previous version, providing higher stability and easy cutting
The new HELIQUAD-12 inserts are produced from ISCAR’s latest SUMO TEC carbide grades, significantly increasing productivity.

Positive square general-use inserts with 4 neutral cutting edges providing 4 right- or left-hand cutting edges
QDCT 1205…PDN -F
Peripherally ground cutting edges for higher precision to be used only on face mills and extended flute cutters

Following very low consumption of the HELIQUAD-12 inserts in grades IC950, IC4010, IC4050 and IC50M. ISCAR is phasing out the following inserts:
